www.theunderfloorheatingstore.com are approved distributers of HeatStore™ insulation boards
Heatstore™ tile backer boards are ideally suited for use with our electric underfloor heating systems. They are high performance reinforced insulation boards made of waterproof extruded polystyrene, they have a fibreglass mesh embedded with a polymer modified coating on both sides
Heatstore™ Tile Backer boards should installed onto concrete/screed floors using a rapid set flexible tile adhesive, do not use pre mixed adhesives.
If you are familiar with Marmox, Wedi boards, Hardi backer boards, Aqua panel then you will find Heat Store backer boards a low cost high quality easy to use alternative.
Correct insulation forms an integral part of any properly designed and well installed underfloor heating system. We recommend and supply Heatstore™ tile backer boards, these are insulated tile backing boards for use with our under tile heating cables and mats. Our tile backer boards have a high compressive strength making them suitable for use beneath tiled floors. They also have a reinforced polymer coating, making them extremely strong.
The minimum thickness is 6mm for use above poorly insulated solid/concrete floors or 10mm over timber floors. When being installed on concrete or solid floors they should be stuck down with flexible tile adhesive, when installed on wooden subfloors they can be fixed directly with screws and washers, please see separate installation guides if unsure on how to install them.
Please note these are not for use with our underwood heating systems
