The Underfloor Heating Store is one of the UK’s largest suppliers for Underfloor Heating. 

Acting as a one stop shop for all underfloor heating enquiries and specialising in both water and electric based systems. 

The company has deep roots within the marketplace having been established since 2008. 

Now a part of the Highbourne Group which proudly consists of City Plumbing, PTS, DHS, NSS, The Underfloor Heating Store, PlumbNation and PlumbWorld serving trade and consumer customers across the new build, social housing, and repairs & maintenance sectors of the residential and commercial construction categories. Leading and managing the sales team to achieve revenue targets and contribute to the overall growth of the business.  

As a Sales Manager, your role is crucial in; 

  • Driving the success of the underfloor heating company by achieving and exceeding sales targets while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. 
  • Ability to inspire a sales team to achieve AOP 
  • Ability to analyse sales data, market trends and competitor activities 
  • 9-10 direct reports (including oversight of Trade counter) 

Duties:  

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategy to drive business growth by identifying new market opportunities and areas for expansion. 
  • Set clear goals and targets for the team and individuals, motivating and inspiring them to achieve and exceed AOP. Manage the team in accordance with their targets to ensure that they remain on track. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service. 
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance against forecasts and budgets. Where required, implement corrective actions to ensure objectives are met. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new products and technological advancements, training and upskilling the sales team with necessary information and resources to stay ahead of the market. 
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance, market trends and other relevant metrics, utilising this information to identify improvements, optimise processes and any market opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to maximise the businesses service, such as operations to ensure order fulfilment and delivery or marketing to align consistent brand messaging. 
  • Manage customer pipeline effectively, consisting of both inbound and outbound activity. An even focus is required on both elements, ensuring that sales are finalised and closed 

Skills and qualifications 

A successful candidate will have various prerequisite skills and qualifications that include: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Computer skills, and familiarity with a CRM. Good knowledge of Microsoft systems; Excel, Word, and Outlook 
  • Active listening skills 
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Empathy and consideration when conversing with clients and colleagues  
  • Time management and prioritising  

Requirements: 

The ideal Sales Manager will be a flexible person who enjoys working as part of a team. You will have the following skills and experience: 

  • Previous experience (2/3 years +) in a manager, account management role 
  • Ability to train and implement growth within the sales team  
  • Excellent numeracy, accuracy, literacy, and communication skills.

Your Role as SEO Strategist

Are you skilled at turning data into actionable insights and optimising online performance? As an SEO Strategist at The Underfloor Heating Store, you’ll develop strategies to strengthen our digital presence, reach more customers, and maintain our position as a leader in the industry.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and execute SEO strategies that boost organic search rankings, drive traffic, and increase conversions.
  • Unearth high-value keywords, identify trends, and analyse competitor usage to keep us ahead of the game.
  • Create SEO-friendly blogs, articles, and landing pages that engage and convert.
  • Audit and resolve technical issues like site speed, mobile usability, crawl errors, and indexing challenges. Implement schema markup and XML sitemaps.
  • Drive strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks that enhance our authority and visibility.
  • Use tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and other software to track progress, measure success, and uncover new opportunities.
  • Keep a close eye on the competition, adapting strategies to ensure we stay ahead.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: At least 2+ years in SEO, ideally within an eCommerce environment.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency with tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and Shopify.
  • Data-Driven: You love crunching numbers and using insights to inform your next move.
  • Creative Thinker: You’re as comfortable crafting compelling content as you are digging into the details of site architecture.
  • Team Player: Collaboration is your middle name. You thrive in dynamic, cross-functional environments.
